Research Interests

My specialty is in molecular and cell biology, genomics and transcriptomics (Omics overall), high-throughput screening, assay parallelization and microfluidics. One of the important tasks is adaptation of microfluidic systems to solve biological problems. This includes material biocompatibility research, development of DNA/ protein, cell-based sensors and signal (DNA by PCR, protein, etc.) amplification systems. Development of novel chemical and biological sensors is an important aspect in my research. One of the objectives is to develop the Lab-On-Chip (LOC) systems suitable for portable Point-of-Care Testing (POCT). The developed assays are patented with further commercialization.
